INTRODUCTION TO APPLICATION PROGRAMMING

Application programming is also known as Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP). It is a high level programming language created by German software company SAP. ABAP was written for use in a variety of databases, so it uses its proprietary SQL format that the APBAP engine converts to the underlying database specific SQL. ABAP is also used to program reports, batch testing and front end screens.
