The A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences offers Graduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral training facilities. The Institution is a constituent unit of Nitte University and is recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is recognised as a training centre for MFDS (England & Edinburgh), MRCS (England) and AFRCS (Edinburgh) for medically trained graduates and is also an examination centre for Membership in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (MOSRCS) Edinburgh.
The Nitte Meenakshi Institute for Craniofacial Surgery in association with the Cleft International, Zurich offers a one-year full time Fellowship program in Craniofacial Surgery.
